With her paintings and sculptures, Růžena Zátková ranked among the world's leading women in avant-garde art. However, since no one is a prophet at home, Růžena did not have a single exhibition in her home country during her lifetime. Her view of the world was not understood by the ordinary people of České Budějovice nor by anyone from the well-known and successful Zátek family of entrepreneurs.

About the theatre:
The Little Theatre has been operating in České Budějovice since 1949. Since 2004 it has been the fourth stage of the South Bohemian Theatre alongside the drama, opera and ballet. It focuses on productions for children and young audiences of secondary schools and universities. It has its own stage in Hradební Street. The Little Theatre also produces annual summer performances for the open-air theatre with a revolving auditorium in Český Krumlov and has become renowned for projects such as the music band Kašpárek v rohlíku.
