About the theatre:
The KUBA Theatre was founded in January 1993, first as a theatre of one actor and author Petr Mlád. Two productions were staged at that time - The Lonely Flying Saucer and The Swineherd and the Princess and the Pea. Gradually, other members (Ivana van der Wallová, Tomáš Froyda and especially František Kaska - it was then that the author duo Kaska - Mlád was formed) joined him contributing their creativity to other productions. In 1994, Dana Mládová began to act, for example, as the sparrow in Chirp-Chin, a play borrowed from the PIKI Theatre. Today the theatre has five members - Petr Mlád, Dana Mládová, František Kaska, Jiří Kizman and Martina Samková. Jaroslav Hrubý, Dana Jandová, Dáša Nesvedová, Jaroslav Fidrmuc, Lenka Tyrpeklová and Jiří Kizman collaborate or have collaborated with the theatre. To date, Divadýlko KUBA has played around 5,900 performances. And not only in Pilsen, but also at various venues around the country.
