The stories Juan tells us are not stories, in fact. They are not poems, jokes or fairy tales either. They are a special form he calls "kazus", inspired by the culture of the South American continent. Juan takes us gently into his own world, where love, life and death intertwine. Everyday life, madness and melancholy. And as the kazus merge into one another, we realize that there is something deeper and more intimate at work as well: The hero Kazu is madly in love with Lou but Lou is gone. Yet the love is still alive and joyful... In this show, puppets, music and live drawings interact to create a touching and philosophical poetry.

About the theatre:
Singe Diesel is a puppetry and theatre group founded by Juan Perez Escala based in Guilers, France. Juan is the son of an Argentine comic actor and has been involved with theatre since a young age. However, he focused on the visual arts first, gaining experience in sculpting, drawing and building. In 2011, his desire to write his own stories prompted him to start his own company. His aim is to question the human relationship to reality, blurring the line between reality and imagination. He is inspired by South American magical realism, a style most commonly associated with the writer G.G. Marquez.
